Terms

Candidate for attorney review

Staging content prepared for review by Steve Borislav Mikhov. It does not represent final legal approval.

These candidate terms govern use of the Student Loan Angel public website and accounts. A signed legal-services agreement, not these website terms, governs any attorney-client representation.

Candidate prepared August 4, 2026

Information, screening, and the attorney-client relationship

Website content and eligibility results are general information and conditional screening, not legal advice or a promise of eligibility or outcome. Sending information does not create an attorney-client relationship. Representation begins only through a written agreement signed as required by the Firm.

Do not send urgent deadlines through a general contact form. Until the Firm confirms representation in writing, you remain responsible for protecting your rights and meeting every deadline.

Accounts and acceptable use

Provide accurate information, keep your contact details current, protect account credentials, and promptly report suspected compromise. Do not access another person's account, interfere with security, upload malicious or unlawful material, impersonate another person, scrape restricted content, or use the service to violate law or another person's rights.

We may restrict access to protect security, comply with law, or address misuse. Suspension of website access does not itself terminate an attorney-client relationship or alter duties governed by a signed engagement and professional rules.

Electronic records and communications

Electronic signatures and records may be used only through the separate consent process and disclosures presented for the transaction. You may request paper copies and withdraw consent for future electronic records by the stated method; withdrawal does not invalidate documents already signed.

Email and text delivery are not guaranteed and may be insecure. Use the secure portal for sensitive documents and keep the Firm informed of changes to your email address, telephone number, or ability to access electronic records.

Government and third-party services

Federal programs are available directly through the U.S. Department of Education without paying the Firm. Government agencies, courts, servicers, creditors, payment providers, and linked websites operate their own systems and make their own decisions. Their availability, processing times, rules, and content are outside our control.

A link does not endorse a third party or make the Firm responsible for that party's terms, security, accessibility, or decisions. Current official forms and instructions must be checked at the time of use.

Legal services, fees, and costs

Any paid legal service, scope, flat fee, costs, payment terms, trust treatment, and refund rights must appear in the signed legal-services agreement and related fee schedule. Website pricing is not binding unless incorporated into that agreement.

The Firm does not guarantee a result. Advance and unearned fees are handled under the approved fee rule and applicable professional and consumer-protection law. Nothing in these terms changes rights that cannot legally be waived.

Changes, governing law, and contact

California law governs these website terms except where federal law controls. A production version should state its effective date and material-change process. Questions may be sent to info@knightlaw.com. Terms for an actual legal matter remain in the signed engagement, and those matter-specific terms control over these website terms.
