We may collect identifiers and contact details; student-loan, school, employment, income, asset, household, disability, and court information; government identifiers needed for a requested service; documents and messages you submit; consent and signature records; payment and trust-account records; and device, security, and website-interaction data.

We collect information directly from you, from a representative you authorize, from public records and government sources, and from service providers or counterparties involved in the service you request. A notice at collection should identify the categories and purposes presented on each collection screen.

We use personal information to operate the website and accounts; screen and communicate with prospective clients; provide attorney-supervised services; verify identity and records; prepare documents; administer signatures, billing, trust accounting, privacy requests, security, quality assurance, and legal compliance; and protect clients, the Firm, and the public from fraud or misuse.

We should not use personal information for a materially incompatible purpose without the notice or consent required by law. Legal files may also be used or retained as professional duties, court rules, legal holds, and defense of legal claims require.

We may disclose information to Firm personnel and attorneys; courts, trustees, agencies, loan holders, servicers, schools, employers, creditors, opposing counsel, and experts as needed for an authorized matter; and contracted providers that support hosting, storage, communications, identity, document processing, e-signature, payments, analytics, security, and professional operations.

We do not describe monetary sales of client information as part of the legal-service model. Optional advertising technology may constitute sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law and must remain controlled by the site's consent and opt-out choices. Disclosures may also occur when required by law, court order, professional duty, or to protect rights and safety.

Depending on the law and the information involved, California residents may have rights to know or access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and receive equal service when exercising a right. Legal, security, privilege, records-retention, and other statutory exceptions may apply.

Use the Privacy Center to submit a request or change available consent choices. We verify requests before disclosing or deleting information and may ask an authorized agent for proof of authority. You may also contact info@knightlaw.com. We do not retaliate for exercising a privacy right.

We retain information for the period reasonably necessary for the stated purpose and for legal-service, accounting, trust, audit, security, litigation, and professional-record obligations. Retention can vary by record and matter; a legal hold or professional duty may require longer preservation.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No system can guarantee perfect security. Use the secure portal for sensitive records, protect your credentials, and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.
